Executive summary
Sheheen leads the UAE offices of BDO Legal and plays a pivotal role in the strategic direction of the firm. With nearly 35 years of post-qualification experience, he brings extensive expertise in a broad range of legal disciplines, with a deep understanding of UAE laws and Islamic Shari'ah, which earned him the trust of both regional and international clients.
Sheheen began his legal career in India after being called to the Bar in 1991. He spent five years practicing before all levels of courts in India, before relocating to the UAE in 1996.
Professional Qualifications and Affiliations:
Sheheen has a Bar Membership in the Bar Council of Kerala, India and has been granted full rights of advocacy before the DIFC Courts - Dubai, and ADGM Courts - Abu Dhabi, in UAE. He regularly represents clients before various arbitration tribunals, regional as well as international.
Sheheen holds a Bachelor of Arts (Academic Laws) Degree from Pondicherry University, India (1989), and a Bachelor of Law Degree from Pondicherry University, India (1991). He also pursued his Masters’ Degree in Business Laws from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
